About
Amid the inspiring autumn air along the shores of the Golden Horn, Tersane Istanbul invites young creators on an imaginative journey of art and exploration. Taking place every weekend throughout October, our kids' workshops blend contemporary design, hands-on craft, and artistic expression into an enriching weekend experience where young minds can freely innovate.
Led by creative instructors Azime Sarıtoprak, Dilruba Kireç, and Tuğba Özer, this multidisciplinary program is tailored to spark curiosity across different age groups. Young participants explore visual storytelling and 2D composition through flipbook animation, comic book art, stained glass effects, and pop-up card crafting, while honing spatial reasoning and tactile skills with clay sculpting, mosaic making, tote bag printing, and jumping clay modeling. Workshops centering on perspective, foil crafting, and costume design further encourage young participants to reimagine form, color, and space.
Bringing diverse creative practices to life every weekend, Tersane Istanbul Kids' Workshops offer children exciting ways to express themselves while giving families a vibrant waterfront weekend destination steeped in culture and creativity.
